Although the situation on the Slovak labor market has been relatively good in recent months and unemployment has been falling, some large companies that have their production plants near our neighbors are rather unhappy about it. The South Korean Samsung, which has factories in Galanta and Voderady in Slovakia, is no exception. Due to the lack of workers, he is said to be considering whether to leave Slovakia.

In a report published by the website Spectator, Samsung is rumored to be considering closing one of its two lines to address the labor shortage problem. However, it would be foolish to think that Samsung will actually decide to take this step. For now, this option is said to be considered as one of several options that can be used to solve the problem.

According to available information, the South Korean company denies that it would consider relocating production. However, it does not rule out that it would at least partially limit production in its Slovak factories and move part of it abroad. However, several dozen of the more than two thousand Slovak employees would certainly take this step.

So let's be surprised if Samsung really decides to partially leave Slovakia or not. However, the fact is that more and more companies are considering this option due to rising labor costs and changing legislation. Perhaps the option of leaving our neighbors is the most extreme, and companies will choose it only in case of extreme emergency.
