The infinity display of all three of last year's flagship models from Samsung is undoubtedly beautiful, and the design with minimal frames is welcomed with open arms. But along with that came one significant negative – the display is more prone to cracking when the phone falls to the ground than ever before. That is why it is good to bet on additional protection in the form of tempered glass. Personally, I have had a good experience with PanzerGlass glasses, which fall into the category of more expensive glasses, but they are of good quality. Recently, PanzerGlass earned an interesting first when it presented a special edition of its glasses, which was created in collaboration with the famous soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo. The PanzerGlass CR7 edition has also arrived in our editorial office, so we will take a look at them in today's review and summarize its pros and cons.

In addition to the glass, the package includes a traditionally moistened napkin, a microfiber cloth, a sticker for removing the last specks of dust, and also instructions in which the glass installation procedure is also described in Czech. The application is very simple and even a complete beginner can handle it. I had the glass on mine Galaxy Note8 glued in seconds and I didn't register a single problem during the gluing. You simply clean the display, peel off the film from the glass, place it on the display and press. That's it.

The advantage of glass is the rounded edges that copy the curves of the edges of the display. It's a pity that the glass does not extend to the very edges of the panel, both to the top and bottom, as well as to the sides, where it protects only part of the rounded display. On the other hand, I think that the Danish company PanzerGlass had a good reason for this. Thanks to this, the glass can also be used in combination with a sturdy protective cover.

Other features will also please. The glass is a little thicker than the competition - specifically, its thickness is 0,4 mm, which means that it is 20% thicker than conventional protective glasses. At the same time, it is also up to 9 times harder than ordinary glasses. A benefit is also less susceptibility to fingerprints, which is ensured by a special oleophobic layer covering the outer part of the glass.

The exclusiveness of the PanzerGlass CR7 edition that came to our editorial office is the soccer player's brand along with his name applied by a special method directly on the glass. However, the interesting thing is that the brand is only visible when the display is off. The moment you turn on the display, the brand becomes invisible due to the backlight of the display. You can see exactly what the effect looks like in the gallery below, where you can find photos of both the display turned off and the display turned on. In 99% of cases, the mark is really not visible, but if you are shooting a dark scene, for example, you will see it, but it happens sporadically.

There is not much to complain about PanzerGlass. The problem does not even arise when using the new home button, which is sensitive to the force of the press - even through the glass it works without problems. I would have liked a little more sharpened edges, the sharpness of which is felt when performing the gesture to pull out the panels on the edge. Otherwise, however, PanzerGlass is excellently processed and I must especially praise the easy application. If you are also a fan of Cristiano Ronaldo, then this edition is perfect for you.
