Two weeks ago, we informed you on our website that Samsung started to deal with the issue of the functioning of two of its production plants in Slovakia. Because of the tense situation on the labor market and the rising price behind it, Samsung began to think about limiting production or even closing down completely. And according to the latest information, it is already clear.
The South Korean giant finally decided to completely close the factory in Voderady and move a significant part of its production to its second factory in Galatna. The employees who worked in the closed factory will of course then be offered the opportunity to work in the second factory in the position they held in the factory in Voderady. From this step, Samsung mainly promises an increase in efficiency, which was not at an optimal level when the production was spread over two plants.
It is difficult to say at the moment how Samsung employees will react to the new job offer and whether they will accept it or not. However, since the distance between the two factories is roughly 20 kilometers, most employees will probably use it. In the long term, it turns out that there is genuine interest in working for the South Korean giant. In the region where both factories are located, the unemployment rate is among the lowest in the country.
