Samsung's effort to make Bixby the perfect artificial assistant is gaining momentum. According to recent information, the South Korean giant bought the Egyptian startup Kngine, which deals with artificial intelligence, last year.

The startup Kngine started working on its artificial intelligence project already in 2013. In five years, it managed to create an AI that is capable of browsing websites, various corporate documents, FAQ books or various customer service protocols, from which it then sublimates certain knowledge , with which he then continues to operate. According to Kngine, their artificial intelligence is thus quite successfully approaching the functioning of the human brain. With all detected informacehe first familiarizes himself with them and tries to understand them, then he starts to divide them into subgroups according to different dependencies and then combines them in such a way that the answer to the required question is as accurate as possible.

Of course, these efforts did not go unanswered, and already in 2014 the startup received its first investments from Samsung and the Egyptian Vodafone. Three years later, the South Korean giant decided to buy the startup and now owns a 100% stake in it. So it can be assumed that he could improve his smart assistant Bixby thanks to this acquisition.

Hopefully, Samsung will really succeed with the second version of its smart assistant and show us that even though it entered the industry relatively late, it is a force to be reckoned with. On the other hand, however, it is clear to us that as long as Bixby supports only a few languages, its usefulness to the world will be relatively small. But who knows, maybe in a few months Samsung will pleasantly surprise us with Czech and Slovak.
