In North America, users began to complain about problems with the SmartThings hub, which is used to create a complete smart home. For unknown reasons, the hub stopped working, leaving users unable to control devices that require the hub to function. For example, smart lights, door locks and garage doors are compatible with SmartThings. Samsung did not explain what caused the hub to crash.

The problems appeared on Tuesday afternoon. Samsung said on Twitter that it was looking into the cause of the problem and apologized for the inconvenience. He continued to update customers on the progress of the repair via Twitter. But customers were frustrated because they couldn't use their smart home devices.

Samsung largely fixed the problem after a few hours. He added that the team continues to work to restore full functionality. The South Korean giant has not identified the root cause, however, it said users were unable to log into apps and control devices due to the issue. The company is currently monitoring the system to ensure that the situation does not happen again.
