Although China describes itself as a manufacturing powerhouse, Chinese companies do not suffer too much in terms of product quality. However, it turned out that Chinese companies began to improve the quality of their products, even the technological giant Samsung began to trust Chinese manufacturers.

Samsung used optical components from China for the first time in its flagships. According to a report that appeared on the ET News server, the South Korean company is sourcing optical components for Galaxy S9 to Galaxy S9+ from the Chinese manufacturer Sunny Optical. If the report is true, this is an impressive achievement for the Chinese component supplier, as the production of optical parts is technically quite demanding compared to other smartphone components.

"Galaxy The S9 uses a lens from Sunny Optical for the front camera module. Sunny Optical's products have been used in low-end and mid-range smartphones, but this is the first time they are being used in flagship models as well,” said the source.

Sunny Optical, which makes lenses, camera modules, microscopes and measuring equipment, is China's largest manufacturer of optical components, supplying relatively large Chinese smartphone makers. Samsung for flagship series Galaxy used lenses from South Korean firms such as Kolen, Sekonix and Samsung Electro-Mechanics.
