Although wireless charging is certainly very interesting and many users use it every day, its current form is not quite ideal, and although it is no longer necessary to connect the phone to a cable to charge it, there is still the necessity to put it in one place and not manipulate it. But that could change in the foreseeable future.

In 2016, Samsung filed a patent with the World Intellectual Property Organization for a rather interesting technology that could take wireless charging to a whole new level. According to the patent, Samsung would like to charge its devices via a special "base", within the reach of which the device would be charged without any problem. If the user then moved away from the range of the charger, the device would still be charged through some kind of reflectors, which would extend the range of the field in which the device would be charged. In practice, the device would be charged practically anywhere in the room, regardless of whether it was lying on the table or you were using it.

The idea of such a charging option is very tempting, don't you think? However, don't worry just yet. As I already wrote in the opening paragraph, this is just a patent so far and its implementation is still a long way off. After all, technology companies register a lot of similar patents, and only a fraction of them actually see the light of day. However, the fact is that a "revolution" is really needed in wireless charging. So why couldn't it be thanks to this patent?
