The presentation of this year's Samsung flagships brought rather contradictory reactions. Although they are new Galaxy S9 almost perfect phones benefiting mainly from an excellent camera, many owners of last year's Galaxy S8 do not see any fundamental shift in them. Because of this, there could be a little less interest in these phones than Samsung expected.

A few days after the launch of pre-orders, the first signs began to appear in the world that the interest in these phones is relatively small. That is, of course, it is not completely small, but it does not reach the same level as last year's models. This fact was later confirmed by one of Samsung's internal employees. Interested in a new one Galaxy S9 also lit up the portal Sammobile, who conducted a very interesting survey mainly among owners of last year's cars Galaxy S8. Its result was then to determine whether the purchase of a new model makes sense for these customers who are looking for flagships or not. However, Samsung will certainly not take the result for granted.

More than a third of respondents, 36% to be exact, answered that from their own Galaxy S8 to new Galaxy They do not plan to switch to S9. They then defend their decision by saying that the new flagships do not bring any major upgrades either in terms of design or battery life. Although there is an increase in performance, this is logically always expected in the latest models.

Cameras are simply not enough

Although some of you might argue that the use of a dual camera is certainly a revolution, even this novelty simply does not pull. For a phone whose price exceeds 20 crowns, customers would probably expect something more than just a better camera. A full 17% of respondents even stated that the price of a new one seemed to them Galaxy S9 too high.

The survey showed that a full fifth of respondents would rather wait for the annual one Galaxy S10 that Samsung will launch next year. It is quite likely that we will see some really interesting news and improvements with this phone, as Samsung has followed its two-year cycle for renewing phones in recent years, and the Black Peter therefore falls on Galaxy S10.

And what about you? What do you think about this year? Galaxy S9? Do you think these phones are more of a bad joke by Samsung, or are you reaching for them because you think they're a very good upgrade?
