If there is something that users of Samsung smartphones or in general can do with Androidem envy users using iOS from Apple, they are undoubtedly system updates. This is because the Cupertino company has managed them very well and not only do customers in various markets not have to wait for them for long months, but their smartphones are even supported for a period of four to five years. In short, this means that if you buy today iPhone from Apple, you can be sure that you will receive updates on it for the next four years to the latest operating system, which of course brings various improvements. However, this does not apply to Samsung and its models.

It is no wonder that Samsung is harshly criticized and even sued for this fact from time to time. In 2016, for example, he was sued in a Dutch court by the non-profit organization Consumentenbond, which pointed out that Samsung does not provide two-year support for some of its models. And it was this trial that started today in Holland.

It is interesting that Samsung itself guarantees a two-year support for its smartphones, which, however, begins practically immediately after their launch. So, if you were to reach for the phone later and buy it, for example, a year after its official launch, you will only enjoy a year of support, which according to the organization is quite surprising. However, the thorn in the side is that Samsung provides much longer support for its premium line Galaxy S, which receives updates significantly longer than cheaper models. However, according to the Dutch organization, Samsung should of course not behave that way and should look at all its models through the same lens.

It can be expected that the plaintiffs will base their arguments mainly on the already mentioned one Apple and his iOS, which, however, will most likely be refuted by Samsung with the differences between the systems and hardware of the smartphones. Either way, the trial will be quite interesting and we will of course inform you of its outcome.
