Last year, Samsung was rocked by the scandal of one of the main representatives. His heir, Lee Jae-yong, was involved in a large-scale corruption scandal that reached the highest levels of the South Korean government and involved, among other things, influencing the president. Because of this, Lee earned a ticket to prison, from which he was supposed to get out in five long years. In the end, however, everything is completely different.

Although Lee entered the prison and began to serve his relatively long sentence. However, in February of this year, he tried to appeal to the Supreme Court of South Korea in Seoul, which he also succeeded in doing. The presiding judge was convinced that Lee's role in the whole scandal was rather passive and his sentence was therefore wrong. So Lee left the prison and according to a recent report of the portal Yonhap News he's even about to rejoin the family's tech giant.

According to available information, Lee is currently on a tour of Europe and will most likely visit the US and then Asia soon. Everywhere, he will probably meet with representatives of key IT companies to discuss future cooperation with them. After that, he will return to the management of the company in South Korea, which is based in Seoul and Suwon. However, he will refrain from public appearances for some time.

Hopefully Lee has learned from his mistake and we won't see a similar scandal involving Samsung in the future. This was also very unpleasant for the company.
