Starting today, Air Bank clients can pay directly with their mobile phone. All they need is the My Air application, which is already installed by more than 275 bank clients. The client then pays by phone in the same way as in the case of a contactless card. Purchases up to 000 crowns will be paid immediately, for larger amounts a PIN must be entered.

All Air Bank clients who have a smartphone with the system can pay by mobile via the My Air application Android and NFC technology. Most new phones today already have this. In addition, the application itself recognizes whether the client has NFC on his phone and notifies him of the new option.

Turning on the new feature in the mobile application itself is very easy and fast. The client confirms that they want to pay by phone, enters their payment confirmation PIN (if they don't already have one, they set their PIN in this step) and they're done. When the client has several cards for his current accounts, he chooses which card the phone should use for payment.

When paying in a store, in most cases, the client just needs to turn on his phone and hold it to the payment terminal. Some types of phones may also require unlocking the home screen. If the value of the purchase is over 500 crowns, you need to enter a PIN to confirm the payment. In contrast to paying with a contactless card, in this case the PIN is entered directly on the phone's display, and then the client holds the phone to the terminal once more to complete the entire transaction.

However, it should be noted that although Air Bank uses HCE technology for mobile phone payments, it is not Google Pay. In short, Air Bank has its own system linked to its application.

Phone withdrawals will come later

Air Bank clients can pay with their smartphone starting today. In the future, the bank, which has its entire ATM network contactless, would like to enable mobile phone withdrawals from ATMs. "This is a completely new thing, not only for us, but also for the Master companycard, with which we cooperate on the possibility of withdrawing from a contactless ATM using a smartphone. You can say that we actually have to forge a completely new path, so we don't have a set launch date at the moment." supplies Jaromír Vostrýfrom Air Bank.

In addition to the new option of paying by mobile phone and classic contactless cards, Air Bank clients can also use payment stickers. They can stick them, for example, on the cover of their phone, which doesn't even have to be smart. With a contactless sticker, clients can pay not only in stores, but also withdraw from contactless ATMs.
