It is no longer the case that the world of virtual reality is only for those who are willing to spend tens of thousands of crowns for the necessary accessories. In today's era of powerful smartphones, it is not necessary to buy an expensive headset at any cost and to own a bloated desktop computer. You can try virtual reality for a few hundred crowns, and all you need is your smartphone and basic glasses. And we will look at just one of these in today's review.

VR Box are completely simple glasses that allow you to enter the world of virtual reality and 3D objects. This is a headset that is equipped with the necessary optics and a compartment for a phone with maximum dimensions of 16,3 cm x 8,3 cm. The glasses therefore use the phone's display and, as the user, convert the image into 3D form, or virtual reality, through the optics. With the glasses you can, for example, watch VR videos on YouTube, use various virtual applications or play games from the world of virtual reality. It is also possible to record a 3D movie on your phone and, thanks to the glasses, be drawn directly into the action.

The glasses themselves are relatively well made, despite their price. The edges of the glasses that come into contact with the face are padded, so they do not press even after long periods of use. The straps that hold the glasses on your head are flexible and easily adjustable, so you can precisely adjust their length. The only complaint I had during use was the area sitting on the nose, which is not padded and not very well shaped, so when using the glasses for a long time, my nose was pressed. On the contrary, I praise the adjustable spacing of the optics and the distance of the image from the eyes, thanks to which you can improve the spectacle many times.

As I mentioned above, with the glasses you can also immerse yourself in the world of VR games. A small game controller is needed for this, but it costs a few hundred crowns and can be purchased in the set together with the VR Box. You simply pair the controller with your phone via Bluetooth and you can start playing. For movement in the game, there is a joystick on the controller, and for action (shooting, jumping, etc.) then a pair of buttons located practically in the place of the index finger. The controller also has five other buttons (A, B, C, D and @), which are needed only sporadically. On the side there is still a switch between Androidin the iOS.

The manual for the glasses recommends using the app Veer, where you will find a collection of all kinds of videos that will introduce you to virtual reality. It's a useful app for a first introduction to VR, but I personally haven't used it for very long. I preferred to move to the YouTube application, where you can currently find hundreds of VR videos and, for example, even Samsung broadcasts its conferences in virtual reality here, which you can then watch with the VR Box. but the most interesting are the games that I can recommend to you from my own experience Wrong Voyage VRNinja Kid RunVR X Racer or maybe hard code. You will enjoy them in virtual reality and together with the controller.

VR Box are not professional virtual reality glasses and they are not playing with them. Likewise, don't expect any dazzling image quality, although this is largely influenced by the phone's display resolution (the higher the better). This is really one of the cheapest ways to try the VR world and at the same time spend only a few hundred crowns. It is a good and somewhat better alternative to the popular Google Cardboard, with the difference that the VR Box is better crafted, more comfortable and offers some customization options.
