It sometimes happens that with the arrival of a new model, a function that was part of several older generations and users have become accustomed to using it is silently removed from the system. The same scenario has now played out with the new Samsungs Galaxy S9 to Galaxy S9+, from where one rather useful function mysteriously disappeared.

The cold shower came for those who need to record calls for various reasons. Let's leave aside the legality of their actions, even if, for example, when dealing with authorities or companies, the customer is certainly not acting illegally. The important thing is that apparently no one in Galaxy nines "call recording" is not possible.

Samsung itself doesn't offer a solution to call recording, and when asked about what happened, it relegates users to the appropriate limits, saying they need to contact third-party app makers. But they agree that the solution cannot be found despite in-depth research. "It looks like a hardware problem," claim the creators of the popular ACR solution, for example, but others also report the impossibility of using the function.

There is speculation that it is not directly related to Android 8 Oreos. But users report that probably not, because on the Google Pixel 2 s Androidem 8.1 calls can be recorded without any problems. Samsung has not yet officially confirmed that it was just a bug that it could fix in the future. Those interested in new phones should think about whether they will miss this functionality.

However, in the discussion of the Czech Samsung, users recalled that this is not the only thing they have lost over time. Previously, it was possible to schedule an SMS to be sent on a specific day and time or choose different sounds for SMS messages for individual contacts. However, users are already out of luck.
