The relationship between American Applehas been very entangled with South Korea's Samsung for many years. Although  although they are irreconcilable rivals on many fronts who constantly try to outdo each other with their products, it would be difficult for one to exist without the other. In addition to enmity, they are also connected by supplier relations, which generate billions of dollars for both companies. Samsung, for example, after ordering Apple's OLED displays for iPhone X was rubbing his hands with big profits. However, he did the same in pale blue during the sales of his flagships i Apple. However, this cooperation is rather a kind of tinsel on the years-long lawsuits that the companies are conducting.

Both companies have been accused many times in the past of various thefts of patents, which were subsequently used in competitor products. However, this of course damaged the robbed company and therefore called for compensation, which is often in the hundreds of millions of dollars. Of course, the accused companies do not want to pay this in any case, so they try to sweep disputes off the table with various legal tricks and appeals. This is also why disputes have dragged on for many years, with their beginning dating back to 2012.

And the next round of this endless war will take place today at the US Supreme Court. He will try to convince Samsung about the unjustified sanctions that were imposed on him in the past. If the South Koreans manage to soften the judgment, the amount, which exceeds more than half a billion dollars, could be reduced in some way.

Although it may seem that, considering the profits of both companies, that such lawsuits do not have much benefit for them, since they are only a fraction of what they earn in a year, the opposite is true. By winning, Samsung would create precedents that it and other companies fighting against Apple could then rely on in the future, making it much easier to take down the Cupertino giant.
