Samsung's artificial assistant Bixby is certainly a great thing, but since this is its first generation, there are many things that can be improved. Of course, the South Korean giant is well aware of this and is therefore working on improvements for Bixby. Therefore, he should release version 2.0 of his assistant relatively soon. But what to expect from her?

Portal KoreaHerald managed to get an interesting statement from the director of Samsung's artificial intelligence center today, which at least partially reveals the secret surrounding Bixby 2.0. According to a Samsung representative, Bixby will indeed arrive in the second half of this year with Samsung's new flagship, which is undoubtedly a phablet Galaxy Note9. We should wait for an advanced form of Bixby, which will be improved with more natural language options, it should respond better to commands (it will be more sensitive to the user's voice) and, above all, it should be significantly faster. Thanks to this, its use will be significantly more pleasant for Samsung customers.

Samsung manages to create these improvements thanks to specialized centers of artificial intelligence, which it operates in six different parts of the world and employs about a thousand people in them. The various acquisitions of smaller companies that also deal with AI have a big share in this and can also give Bixby their "bit to the mill".

The arrival of the smart speaker is coming

The second version of the smart assistant Bixby should also be the main weapon of the smart speaker, which Samsung is also reportedly preparing. The market for smart speakers has been growing significantly in recent years and represents a really interesting opportunity for many companies. The South Korean giant will try to jump on this bandwagon early.

So we'll see how Bixby continues to do. However, considering how much work Samsung is devoting to it, at least according to its own words, we could expect some really interesting things with which it could surpass all the competition.
