You surely remember the speculations from last year which suggested that Samsung will decide to release its flagships this year Galaxy S9 a bit earlier. In the end, this really happened, and these models entered the inhospitable waters of the smartphone market about a month earlier than its older sibling last year Galaxy S8. It is said that the South Korean giant intends to follow this trend and introduce the upcoming one earlier Galaxy Note9, which should be shown to the world already in the summer months.

Last year Galaxy The Note8 was unveiled by Samsung on August 23 to a decent standing ovation from the onlookers. So, if Samsung were to decide on an earlier presentation of this year's model, we would have it at the end of July, at most at the turn of July and August. It is said that Samsung decided to introduce new models earlier mainly because of the planned presentation of the foldable Galaxy X, which should be introduced already next year. Samsung is therefore trying to prepare an ideal introduction time for it, which will make it stand out even more among the competition. And since practically the entire end of the year from September to December is occupied by new iPhones from Apple, South Koreans have no choice but to fit the introduction of three flagships into the first eight months.

Renders Galaxy Note 9 from galaxynote9news:

As for himself Galaxy Note9, displays for it are already in production according to supply chain sources. The production of the displays, which have a diagonal of 6,38", apparently started already in April, which is two months earlier than it was last year for Galaxy Note8. This also makes an earlier performance more than likely.

So we'll see how Samsung decides and whether today's news are just rumours. With respect to informace from the previous weeks, however, they definitely make sense.
