This year, Samsung will introduce the next generation of Gear smartwatches. They are currently being developed under the code name Galileo. The company should choose a completely new name for the upcoming smartwatch and instead Galaxy The S4 will probably get the designation Galaxy Watch. Another fundamental change should be the system on which the watch will run. Samsung should go for Google instead of its own Tizen system Wear OS, i.e. operating system from Google.

All we know so far is that Samsung is actually working on a watch and that it will see the light of day sometime in the coming months. However, a reliable source revealed that some of the company's employees already wear watches running on Wear BONE.

Samsung is probably testing on its watch WearOS

Evan Blass, who goes by the Twitter handle @evleaks, is one of the most famous leakers. This time he released into the world information, that the smart watch from Samsung will run on Wear OS, not on Tizen OS. According to him, Samsung employees are already wearing and testing the watch. However, Blass didn't provide any details, so it's not entirely clear if this is a brand new device or was Wear The OS deployed in some current model of smart watch that was only modified to perform Wear start the OS.

Since this is just a leak, it can't be taken as a foregone conclusion that the upcoming smartwatch will get Wear OS. It is also speculated that Samsung will unveil two smartwatch models this year, one running on Tizen and the other on Wear BONE.
