Like every year, the prestigious magazine Forbes compiled the list of the world's most valuable brands in 2018, with Samsung Electronics occupying the seventh place in the list. Compared to last year, the South Korean giant improved its position by three places. One of Samsung's main competitors - the American one - continues to hold the lead Apple.

Forbes reports that Samsung's brand value this year is $47,6 billion, up a respectable 38,2% from last year's brand value of $25 billion. Samsung jumped from tenth place to seventh. In comparison, brand value Apple is estimated at $182,8 billion, an increase of 7,5% over last year.

The first five places in the ranking were occupied by American companies

Let's take a look at who rounded out the top five. Apple followed by Google at $132,1 billion. Third place went to Microsoft with $104,9 billion, fourth place to Facebook with $94,8 billion and fifth place to Amazon with $70,9 billion. In front of Samsung is Coca-Cola, whose brand is worth $57,3 billion according to Forbes.

All the companies in the first five places are from the technology industry, which only confirms that technology is very important for the current time.
