Samsung is preparing another mid-range smartphone, which we have known so far under the model designation SM-G8850. It was originally thought that the device would be called Galaxy A8 Star, however, eventually surfaced informace, that it will be about Galaxy A9 Old.
Galaxy The A9 Star has a dual rear camera that is oriented vertically, similar to the iPhone X. The device boasts a Super AMOLED Infinity display and a 3 mAh battery. So far, Samsung has seemed to be preparing Galaxy A9 Star exclusively for the Chinese market, however, in the end, the South Korean giant decided to launch sales in other markets as well.

However, news site SAMMOBILE has obtained a list of countries where it could Galaxy A9 Star for sale. The list includes mostly countries from Southeast Asia. The Chinese version is labeled as SM-G8850 as we mentioned above and the non-Chinese version is labeled as SM-G885F. It seems that the name of the smartphone will remain the same for all markets, although it is possible that Samsung will name the device as Galaxy A9 or Galaxy A9 Pro, but these are just estimates.
