What many Czech owners of the latest Samsung flagships complained about seems to be a thing of the past in the Czech Republic. But no thanks to the phone manufacturer. Starting today, a new firmware update appeared for some users, but unfortunately - unlike in other countries - it does not allow functional call recording. However, there is a way to solve the problem in another way.

Many customers who get new phones Galaxy S9 and S9+ bought, were disappointed due to the absence of the ability to record calls. Samsung allegedly did so for reasons of protecting the privacy of the other (called or calling) party. For several months, any possibility of recording phone calls was blocked on flagship models. At the same time, recordings are commonly used as evidence in business, when people record any contact with the authorities or call centers of giant corporations to be sure. However, this behavior is not illegal in our country and that is why models from the domestic market are not enriched with the mentioned function.

Even the latest update marked G965FXXU1BRE5 / G965FOXM1BRE3 / G965FXXU1BRE3, which arrived today on models from the free market, did not change it. The direct recording of calls (button when making a phone call), which we wrote about a few days ago, has unfortunately not been added.

However, immediately after the update, we reinstalled the application that has been tried and tested for years ACR, which until recently on Galaxy S9+ did not work (only our voice could be heard, but not the other party). However, the recording works reliably again. After contacting the app's support, we received the following response: “We have come up with our own solution to the problem. Samsung has no part in this," the app's creators said.
