Although two years ago it was customary for smartphones to have a single rear camera, today it is slowly becoming the norm for flagship models as well as cheaper phones to be equipped with dual cameras. However, it seems that it won't stay with two lenses, as manufacturers are slowly starting to come with three rear cameras, and it seems that they will only increase. Samsung will probably ride on the wave of this trend, and already with the upcoming one Galaxy S10.

A Korean analyst revealed to the local magazine The Investor that Samsung is allegedly planning to equip it Galaxy S10 triple rear camera. He wants to do so mainly because of Apple and its upcoming iPhone X Plus, which should also have three rear cameras. However, according to the latest reports, the Apple company will not introduce a phone with a triple camera until 2019, so it is quite understandable that the South Koreans want to get a head start.

Two suggestions as to how he might Galaxy S10 look like:

The triple camera is already on the market

Neither does Samsung Apple however, they won't be the first manufacturer to offer the aforementioned convenience in their phone. The Chinese Huawei and its P20 Pro model already boast a triple rear camera, which was also named the best camera phone in the world in the prestigious DxOmark ranking. The P20 Pro has a 40-megapixel main camera, a 20-megapixel monochrome sensor and an 8-megapixel camera that serves as a telephoto lens. Galaxy The S10 will offer a similar solution.

Galaxy The S10 will offer a 3D sensor

But the three rear cameras are not the only thing that the analyst o Galaxy S10 revealed. According to information, the phone should be equipped with a 3D sensor implemented in the camera. Thanks to this, the device would be able to record high-quality 3D content, from special selfies to recordings using augmented reality. Although the sensor does not need a triple camera to function properly, it does get certain benefits, such as improved optical zoom, increased image sharpness, and quality images taken in low light conditions.

Samsung is expected to introduce Galaxy S10 at the beginning of next year, specifically already during January. There should be two models again – Galaxy S10 with 5,8″ display and Galaxy S10 with a 6,3-inch display.
