Therefore, current flagships of various brands have displays with diagonals around 6 inches. However, Huawei is setting a higher bar.
According to the latest information, Samsung Display is preparing a 6,9-inch OLED panel for Huawei's flagship. A Chinese manufacturer plans to produce a tablet-sized smartphone.
The upcoming device should be almost 7 inches, and thus it will be bigger than any other smartphone available in the market today. Huawei is expected to use an AMOLED panel in the Huawei Mate 20 model, which should see the light of day in the second half of this year.
Not long ago they set sail to the surface informace and the fact that the Chinese manufacturer Oppo buys curved OLED panels with a size of 6,42 inches from the Samsung Display division. However, Huawei opted for flat OLED panels, not curved ones.
Unfortunately, we don't know any details about the display yet, but it looks like it will be the biggest smartphone on the market.
Huawei decided to produce an almost 7-inch monster mainly in order to maintain its position in the Chinese market. Samsung Display will start shipping 6,9-inch flat OLED panels by the end of the third quarter of this year.
