Samsung is preparing the fourth generation of the Gear S watch, which should be called the Gear S4. Although there have been speculations that the South Korean giant might name the watch Galaxy Watch. Nowadays, the name of a smart watch is probably the last thing that users are interested in. Rather, they would like to know what the device will offer and when it will see the light of day.
According to Korean news, there is talk that Samsung will use the Panel Level Package (PLP) technology for the Gear S4, the aim of which is to reduce the amount of material needed to manufacture the chip, which will have a positive effect on both the price and the dimensions of the motherboard. The smart watch could be revealed as early as August, as the South Korean giant will likely present it together with Galaxy Footnote9.
