The South Korean giant reportedly chose a larger display size due to the triple camera that the Plus model should get. Although the direct relationship between the panel size and the number of camera sensors is not entirely clear. It is speculated that because of the triple camera, Samsung needs to gain more space inside the smartphone. After all, if Samsung had kept the dimensions of the model Galaxy S9+, it would have to reduce the battery capacity at the expense of the triple camera, which would probably not please users too much.
