Samsung has been the exclusive supplier of mobile processors for many years Apple and his iPhones. However, a few years ago, the South Korean company was pushed out by TSMC, one of the largest manufacturers of integrated circuits in the world. Apparently, processors from Samsung's workshops could return to Apple phones and tablets as early as next year.

According to Digitimes, Samsung should produce A13 processors for upcoming Apple phones. Apple wants to favor the South Korean giant over TSMC mainly because it develops advanced InFO technology and implements the EUV process.

TSMC has reportedly managed to build its own InFO technology based on the 7nm architecture, which Apple approved for the A12 chips that will appear in this year's iPhone lineup. Samsung is now working hard to become an iPhone chip supplier as well.

Samsung has a somewhat healthy business relationship with Applem. It supplies it with Super Retina OLED displays for the current iPhone X, and it should also supply the same (or at least similar) panels for this year's iPhone models.
