It was not so long ago that the first ones came to light informace about the fact that the South Korean giant is going to rename its smartwatch. Until now, they have been called Gear, but that could be over this year. Samsung has registered new names Galaxy Watch a Galaxy Fit, which will probably replace the Gear and Fit series. And as it seems, we are a little closer to this step again.

Last month, the South Korean giant registered additional documentation in its homeland that confirms its intention to rename its product lines. The new Samsung logo specifically appeared in the documentation Galaxy Watch, under which the Gear S4 watch, whose arrival is expected around the middle of this year, should be sold. Samsung then took similar steps in the USA, where it also registered names Galaxy Watch a Galaxy fit.

We don't know too much about the upcoming smartwatch yet. However, we should expect a significantly larger battery, thanks to which the life of the watch should be extended, or LTE support following the example Apple Watch Series 3. Some rumors also indicate the use of a new operating system Wear An OS that would replace the existing Tizen that Samsung has used in its watches so far.

Other improvements could theoretically include the ability to measure blood pressure, which Samsung has been flirting with for some time, at least according to patents. However, whether he was able to develop sensors that are able to reliably capture these values is, of course, unclear at the moment. Either way, we definitely have something to look forward to.
