Although smart speakers are still relatively new on the electronics market, they are very popular among customers. It should then shoot up sharply in the following years and bring considerable money to the manufacturers of these products. It is not surprising that such giants as want to ride this wave of success Apple and Samsung. While however Apple introduced its smart speaker, which by the way has not been a huge success yet, more than a year ago, Samsung is still waiting with its product. But according to new information, the wait is almost over. The presentation of the speaker is almost around the corner.

Reporters from The Wall Street Journal were able to learn, thanks to their sources, that Samsung plans to introduce a new smart speaker next month, probably alongside Galaxy Note9. Just introducing the speaker along with Galaxy Note9 mainly records the fact that we should expect the second version of the smart assistant Bixby, i.e. Bixby 2.0, in the new Note. Of course, the new assistant will also be available in a smart speaker, so Samsung could combine the presentation of both products thanks to this blending. So mark August 9 as the most likely performance date in your diaries.

Sound first

As for other details about the speaker, we should expect high-quality sound, which will provide, among other things, "sound shift" functions. It should very simply track the position of the person in the room and transmit the sound exactly in their direction, so that it is of the highest possible quality. Samsung could thus compete with Apple and its HomePod, which is the king of the smart speaker market in terms of sound quality.

Of course, the price is also a very important thing. It should be around $300, which is $50 less than what it sells for Apple HomePod. A lower price could thus give Samsung an advantage over Apple. On the other hand, his product would still be more expensive than competition from Amazon or Google.
