Do you find Samsung's current smartphone portfolio rather confusing? Then we have unpleasant news for you. Next year, Samsung will apparently mix it up again. Chinese sources familiar with Samsung's plans claim that we will see the introduction of two new series Galaxy R a Galaxy P. On the other hand, the existing row falls out of the round.

Models from the series Galaxy R a Galaxy P should be mainly lower and middle class, so we shouldn't expect any miracles from them, but rather average equipment with average performance at an acceptable price. With these models, Samsung would like to establish itself even more in this sector of the market. However, so that he no longer has an excess of model lines, he intends to say goodbye to the series Galaxy J, which can be described as an affordable series with average equipment and performance.

What is Samsung up to?

At the moment, it is not entirely clear when we will actually see these models. But there is speculation about the fourth quarter of next year, so their introduction is really still far away. Model Galaxy P should then be created at an ODM company, from which Samsung would purchase it, possibly modify it slightly and sell it as its own. Thanks to this, development costs or other necessary things would be eliminated. Samsung would only have to choose from the catalog, agree on minor changes and start selling it under its own name. However, since Samsung has not practiced anything like this before, it would be a revolution in a certain way.

So let's be surprised how Samsung will mix up its model lines. However, the truth is that we have already heard quite a lot of rumors about similar steps, and many of them also related to models from the premium series. So is Samsung preparing for a revolution? We'll see.
