Unlocking the phone through a fingerprint has been one of the most popular authentication methods of practically all manufacturers for many years. For a long time, fingerprint sensors had their place on the front of the phone, where they were implemented, for example, in the Home buttons. However, due to the trend of larger displays, smartphone manufacturers had to find a completely different place for the readers, and from the front of the phone they either placed them on the back, or said goodbye to them and replaced them with face scanners, iris scanners and the like. However, it seems that neither the customers nor the manufacturers themselves are very satisfied with this solution. That is why there is more and more talk about a fingerprint reader built directly into the display. And the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10 should accept with this news.

So far, not many phones can boast of a fingerprint reader integrated into the display. Samsung thus feels a chance to rise to the limelight with a similar novelty, which its upcoming models will help it to do Galaxy S10. According to recent information, they should arrive in three size variants, while one of them could also be a bit more affordable.

According to the Korean portal, Samsung decided to use an ultrasonic sensor in two premium models Galaxy S10, while the cheaper model relies on an optical sensor. The latter is cheaper, but it is also a bit slower and less accurate. It evaluates whether or not it unlocks the phone by recognizing 2D images, so there is a real chance of overcoming it. However, the three times lower price does its job.

Until the introduction of new ones Galaxy The S10 is still a long time away, and we can expect a lot of new information to emerge on this topic. But if Samsung could really implement a high-quality reader under its display, it would undoubtedly be met with enthusiasm. The sensor on the back next to the camera is definitely not the real nut. But let us be surprised.
