The arrival of a foldable smartphone from the Samsung workshop has been rumored for some time already. After months of speculation, the head of the mobile division DJ Koh actually confirmed that the company is working on something like this and is going to show it to the world in the foreseeable future. The most likely date seemed to many to be the beginning of next year. However, reporters from CNBC managed to find out directly from DJ Koh that the introduction of this revolutionary new product is planned for much earlier - already at the end of this year.
The head of Samsung confirmed to reporters that work on the phone is still ongoing, as the product is indeed very complicated. However, the engineers are approaching the finals by leaps and bounds, thanks to which Samsung would like to present its revolutionary smartphone to us already in November at the Samsung Developer Conference in San Francisco. Of course, this cannot be confirmed with 100% certainty at the moment.

At the moment, it is not entirely clear what the novelty could offer in addition to classic smartphones or tablets. According to Koh, however, Samsung is trying to come up with new options, for example in applications, which could get a completely new dimension with the arrival of this smartphone. It is also interesting that, according to Koh, Samsung commissioned several surveys to answer the question of whether there is interest in this type of smartphone. And with the survey showing that there will be interest, Koh is convinced that now is the right time to deliver this product to the world.
Hopefully, there will be no more complications in the development and Samsung will soon introduce us to this revolution. But if it is really able to offer a lot of extra options and at the same time its price is not too exorbitant, Samsung could celebrate success.
