Over the course of eighteen months, the smartphone market has undergone relatively large changes, at least in terms of display sizes. Smartphone manufacturers began to abandon the traditional 16:9 aspect ratio and switched to more modern displays with a top notch and 19:9 aspect ratio. Despite the growing popularity of these panels, the South Korean giant has remained faithful to its Infinity display with a unique ratio of 18,5:9. But it turned out that Samsung also started testing devices like its competitors.

This is what it might look like Galaxy S10 with iPhone X-style notch:

Samsung is currently working on a model labeled SM-G405F with the system Android 9 Pie. According to the benchmark test, the smartphone should have a resolution of 869×412 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. At the moment, the specified resolution seems quite low, however, such a resolution is commonly used in benchmark tests. In fact, for example Galaxy The S9, which boasts a resolution of 2960×1440 pixels, was tested with a resolution of 846×412 pixels. If we take the same resolution conversion formula for the SM-G405F model, it should actually have 3040×1440 pixels.

More details for now though informace we don't know about the device, so we have no idea what kind of smartphone it should be. Of course, it is possible that this could be one of the test prototypes of the upcoming flagship Galaxy S10.
