Creating a low-cost wireless charger aimed primarily at budget smartphones makes sense. Samsung's existing solution costs between 70 and 150 dollars, which is an unbearable price for users who will only pay hundreds of dollars less for a smartphone. Therefore, the South Korean giant wants to create wireless chargers for them, which could be sold for around only 20 dollars.
However, if you expect their quality to match the price, you are mistaken. The properties of these chargers should be comparable to those already offered by Samsung. So even those users who own a flagship but don't want to invest too much in a wireless charging pad charger could reach for them.
An expected move
If Samsung really decides on a similar solution, it won't be too much of a surprise.
