There is no doubt that Samsung is the clear ruler of the OLED display market for quite a few years now. Virtually no other company in the world can match the quality of its panels and the quantity that the South Korean giant is able to produce. Smartphone manufacturers are very well aware of this and very often use displays from Samsung's workshop for their phones. A great example can be Apple, which already bet on OLED displays from Samsung last year with the iPhone X, and this year is no different in this respect. Thanks to the teardown of the recently introduced Pixel 3 XL smartphone, we also now know that Google is also sourcing displays from Samsung to a large extent.

Google purchased OLED displays for its Pixels from LG last year. However, they turned out to be of relatively poor quality, as many owners of last year's generation of smartphones from Google faced problems precisely because of them. Google has therefore decided not to risk anything and in the Pixel 3 XL to bet on OLED from proven brands. Thanks to this, he got not only more reliable, but also more colorful and accurate panels, thanks to which the new Pixel 3 XL can easily compete with other flagships.

Of course, the displays aren't the only thing that can make the new Pixels succeed. Google also has high hopes for the camera, which should be among the best you can get in current smartphones. On the other hand, he received criticism for the design, which according to many users is not very good. But only time will tell whether Pixels will soar to great numbers in sales.
