While clamshell flip phones are rather rare in our region, they still have a huge number of fans in China. It is not surprising that Samsung has been developing clamshell phones for this market in recent years, the performance of which can be equal to its flagships. And just one such bloated "cap" could be introduced soon.

In recent weeks, Samsung has received a number of certifications for the SM-W2019 model, which should be the successor to the bloated "clamshell" model SM-W2018. Although we don't know too many details about it yet, according to the available information, it should be presented with a Snapdragn 845 processor in the body. Furthermore, a dual camera identical to the one used by the South Koreans is expected Galaxy Note9 and two AMOLED displays with Full HD resolution. The phone should then arrive either with Androidem 8.1 Oreo or straight away with Android 9 Pie - everything will depend mainly on when Samsung decides to release it.

Several real photos, which probably show one of the test models, revealed what the new product will look like. As you can see, the phone will feature the classic T9 keyboard and the circular button that many of us also remember from the old push-button phones.

At the moment, it is not entirely clear when Samsung will decide to introduce the new product and release it for sales. Last year, however, the SM-W2018 was presented in December, so it is possible that this year's "cap" will also arrive just before Christmas. But whether Samsung will definitely release the phone elsewhere than in China at least this year is in the stars at the moment.
