Nowadays, there are really countless different power banks. Some are outright design gems, others have, for example, the possibility of wireless charging, and some others focus on durability, for example. We already had reviews of most such power banks here, but today we will look at one power bank that I have been using personally for several months and I am more than satisfied with it. This is a power bank from Swissten, specifically a narrow and dark-colored designer piece. As is the custom with each of my reviews, this time will be no different and now we will start by looking at some official specifications and numbers that you might (should) be interested in. As I mentioned in the introduction, this is a precisely crafted power bank in a hint of dark color. Its size may then remind you of a heavier one iPhone 7 or iPhone 8. Black Core power banks from Swissten are available in three variants, i.e. in 5.000 mAh, 10.000 mAh and 15.000 mAh.
In the middle of the front of the power bank we then find one of the hardware highlights of the entire power bank – a USB-C port, which is used both for recharging the device and for recharging the power bank itself. So if you don't want to use the older microUSB port, which is located on the side of the power bank, you can use USB-C charging. The power bank itself then has two USB-A 2A/5V outputs.

Packing
The packaging of the external battery is modern, simple and has a luxurious feel. If you decide to buy the Swissten Black Core power bank in any size, you will receive a stylish, dark box. Inside it, of course, is the power bank itself, and with it you get a 20 cm microUSB cable, which can be used to recharge the power bank. In this case, I have to admit that both the design of the power bank and the design of the box in which it is packed were successful. So you won't find much more inside the package - and let's face it, what more could we want? The manual, which no one reads anyway (because most of the population knows how the power bank works), is not in the box. It is cleverly hidden on the back of the box.

Processing
In my opinion, the processing of the power bank is flawless and excellent. I put a lot of effort into product design and I don't care if it's about iPhone XS for tens of thousands of crowns, or a power bank "for a few hundred". I am very glad that the design of power banks is not taken lightly and their manufacturers try to make the final product as stylish as possible. And this is exactly what Swissten succeeded in this case. I have been using the Powerbank for several weeks now, and my girlfriend has also been using it for the past few days, especially at school. According to their words, I even heard that several of her classmates had already asked her where she got such a beautiful power bank. So if you also want to be the center of attention, I can only recommend the Swissten Black Core power bank. In addition, the entire power bank is rubberized, so it won't just slide off the table or fall out of your hand. Of course, there are four LEDs on one of the sides of the power bank, which tell you how much energy is left in the power bank after activation. On the front of the external battery there is the Swissten branding, on the back the specifications and certificates of the power bank.

Personal experience
As I already wrote above, I really put up with design and I like to pay extra for designer things, and of course the same applies to this power bank. On the other hand, I'd rather have a product at home that is problem-free than a design gem that doesn't work. However, Swissten managed to fulfill both of these aspects. The Swissten Black Core power bank hides a high-quality Li-Polymer cell in its bowels together with protective electronics, so that, for example, there is no short circuit or damage to the power bank or the device being charged. All these components are packed in a great, dark packaging that catches the eyes of many a passer-by. In addition, I can say from my own experience that even when the power bank was fully loaded, I did not notice the slightest sign of heating - even for that, this power bank has a "plus" in my rating. I also use it for a power bank 20 cm Swissten braided cable, who has already experienced a lot. It is especially useful when you want to keep your desk in order and don't want another long cable that you would need. In addition, the cable is available in several colors, so even women will find something to their liking.
