Last months, practically all technology websites were filled with news about the upcoming flexible smartphone from Samsung, which should revolutionize the mobile phone market. All speculations were finally put to rest a few weeks ago by the South Korean giant itself, when it presented a prototype of a foldable smartphone at its opening keynote of the developer conference. Even after that, however, the discussions regarding this model did not stop.

One of the most frequently asked questions is how much Samsung will decide to produce the foldable smartphone. In the past, there were reports that this revolutionary phone would be limited in quantity, and that Samsung would mass-produce it and try to satisfy all demand. However, according to the latest report from South Korea, it looks like the first option again. The South Koreans reportedly plan to produce "only" one million units and are not planning any further finishing touches. The phone will thus become a limited edition in a way, which could be balanced with gold on the market. However, that will probably be the case anyway.

The selling price of folding smartphones should be around $2500. However, if their quantity is limited to one million pieces, it can be expected that the price will rise to several times with resellers. According to the report, the device is intended primarily for professional users, probably middle-aged, who are successful and can simply afford to invest significantly more in their devices than ordinary customers.

Of course, it is difficult to say at the moment whether such reports are true or not. However, we could have clarity relatively soon. Sales of this model are expected to start at the beginning of next year. Hopefully, we will see a few pieces here in the Czech Republic as well.
