Vlajkové lodě Samsungu z roku 2017 – Galaxy S8 to Galaxy Note 8 – dostanou v aktualizaci na Android 9 Pie support for Dolby Atmos technology. Dolby Atmos, according to the South Korean technology giant, should use three-dimensional sound to bring you a listening experience like that of a modern movie theater.
Toto vylepšení audia nám Samsung představil společně s modelem Galaxy S9, kdy zároveň přinesl do svých telefonů stereo reproduktory. Dolby Atmos je k dispozici i pro některé modely střední třídy, například Galaxy A6. Pomocí aktualizace softwaru zpřístupnil Samsung tuto technologii také pro některé další telefony jako je třeba Galaxy A8 a nyní se přidají i Galaxy S8 to Galaxy Footnote 8.
Both models, like most other mobile devices from Samsung, do not have stereo speakers and therefore Dolby Atmos will only work with bluetooth or wired headphones. However, there is no reason to be disappointed. This trick is more suitable for headphones anyway, because the improvement in audio quality is achieved mainly in the amplification of the overall volume and better separation of the left and right audio channels.
The same like at S9 a Notes 9 you'll be able to choose between Movie, Music and Voice sound modes, depending on what kind of audio you're listening to. Or you can leave the Dolby Atmos setting in automatic mode, which will try to find the most suitable mode according to the file being played.
Abyste mohli používat funkci Dolby Atmos na Galaxy S8/S8+ nebo Note 8 je zapotřebí samozřejmě připojit nebo spárovat sluchátka. Poté je potřeba stáhnout horní lištu rychlého spuštění a vybrat ikonu Dolby Atmos. Výchozí režim zvuku je nastavený na automatický mód. Pokud jej chcete změnit, stačí na ikoně podržet prst, čímž zobrazíte menu Dolby Atmos. Nebo přejděte do Settings>Sounds and vibrations>Expanded >Sound quality>Dolby Atmos.
