Having a problem with the battery life of your smartphone? Fortunately, even this problem can be solved relatively elegantly and cheaply, thanks to power banks, of which there are a huge number on the market and all of which will extend the life of your phone by dozens of hours. And we will look at one such in the following lines. We received a Natec Extreme Media power bank in the editorial office.

Technical Specifications

At the beginning of the review, allow me to briefly introduce the power bank from a technical point of view. If you decide to purchase it, you can look forward to 2 USB-A ports through which you can charge your device. One of them is classic USB 2.0 and offers 5V/3A, the other port is Quick Charge 3.0. The latter offers a much more interesting "juice", namely 5V/3A, 9V/2A and 12V/1,5A, but you can use it to the maximum with devices supporting the Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 standard - i.e. mainly with phones with Androidem. However, you can charge your Apple phone through this port in the standard slow way.

You can charge the power bank in two ways - with a microUSB cable (included in the package) and with a USB-C cable. However, both ports are only "one-way". So if you were hoping to connect Lightning to USB-C and iPhone you will at least charge faster this way, unfortunately this is not the case. As for the capacity of the power bank, it is equal to 10 mAh and you can fully charge it in about 000 hours with the included microUSB. Yes, it is quite a long time, but you need to take into account that this power bank is yours iPhone it will charge up to 5 times (of course, it depends on the model and the capacity of its battery).

Processing and design

If I had to highlight something about the NATEC power bank, it would definitely be its design. Its upper and lower sides are made of high-quality aluminum, and the sides are made of black, slightly matte plastic, which feels slightly rubberized to the touch. Therefore, when you hold the power bank in your hands, you feel that you are holding a really high-quality and honest product, which will also be solidly durable. But the powerbank also pleases with its dimensions, which in my opinion are very small - specifically 13,5 cm x 7 cm x 1,2 cm. If you were interested in the weight, it stopped at 290 grams. However, it feels lighter.

An inconspicuous side button is used to activate the power bank, which blends in perfectly with its black side. After pressing it, the LED indicators on the other side light up, indicating the state of battery charge. There are four of them in total, each representing 25% of the capacity. If you do not have any device connected to the powerbank, the indicators will turn off after 30 seconds after pressing the side button.

Testing

I admit that I wasn't a big fan of powerbanks until recently, and I preferred to use my phone sparingly when necessary, rather than get tangled up in cables leading from external batteries, which are often absurdly large and heavy. However, the attractive design combined with the compact body of this power bank really won me over and I was happy to reach for it a few times. For example, it is not a problem to fit it in a jeans pocket or a breast pocket in a jacket, as it is not bigger and almost not heavier (in the case of new iPhones) than the phone, which I usually carry there anyway.

As I wrote above, the charging takes place at a standard speed, which is certainly not a Terno, but on the other hand, at least you don't destroy the battery with it, as in the case of fast charging with special adapters. In addition, according to my testing, connecting two will not affect the charging speed iOS devices at the same time - they both "suck" energy at the same speed, which can be useful in many situations.

Summary

I can definitely recommend the Extreme Media Powerbank for myself. She does exactly what you would expect from her and damn well. In addition, her design is really cool and with yours iPhonem will tune perfectly. If you also use a phone with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support, you will be even more excited about it. For a price slightly above 400 crowns, it is definitely worth at least a test.
