Samsung surprised everyone when within the Digital Galaxy Unpacked presented a new tablet Galaxy Tab S5e, which is the thinnest Galaxy tablet at all. Only 5,5 mm is an amazing thickness, especially considering what the tablet has to offer. Galaxy The Tab S5e is also the first tablet to come with Bixby 2.0 support and Androidem 9 with One UI superstructure.

Galaxy The Tab S5e is equipped with the same Super AMOLED display as the Galaxy Tab S4 with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:10. However, the tablet has slightly smaller frames around the display than its predecessor. The elegant body made of polished metal hides a battery with a capacity of 7mAh, which should last up to 040 hours of normal use on a single charge. Yes, you read that right, the battery is really 14,5mAh smaller than the u Galaxy Tab S4. In addition, he also took a 3,5 mm jack, but Samsung will include a USB-C adapter. The 1,6mm reduction in thickness compared to the S4 has taken its toll.
The novelty from the Samsung workshop is similar to its predecessors Tab S4 and Tab S3 also in terms of audio. There are four AKG speakers with Dolby Atmos support. Of course, the sound will adjust depending on how you're holding the tablet.
But what does he have? Galaxy Compared to its predecessor, the Tab S5e also has a fingerprint reader. However, don't expect it under the display, the South Korean company has implemented it in the on/off button. If you are used to unlocking your tablet using an iris reader, you will be disappointed, it is missing here. However, it is not surprising, even in Galaxy The S10 no longer has an iris sensor.
Other innovations that the tablet brings take place in the software field. The first of them is the so-called Family Share. Through this feature, you can share photos, memories, notes and calendar events with family members. Another trick is receiving phone calls and answering text messages directly on the tablet. But this is only possible if you own a smartphone Galaxy S9 and later.
The system will be powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 670, which will have 4 or 6GB of RAM and 64 or 128GB of storage, which can be expanded up to 512GB using a microSD card. On the front we find a camera with a resolution of 8 MPx and on the back a 13 MPx camera capable of recording videos in 4K resolution at 30 frames per second. Opposite Galaxy Tab S4 therefore no change.
The weight of only 400 grams (82 grams less than the Tab S4, Wi-Fi version) makes Galaxy Tab S5e the ideal travel companion. Book Covers with and without keyboards and a charging dock will also be available.
You might be wondering what the letter ev in the name of the tablet means. Similar to u Galaxy Fit or Galaxy S10 Samsung used this designation for a cheaper variant of the device. These versions tend to be so-called lightweight. Why did the South Korean company decide on this name for the new tablet? Maybe because Galaxy The Tab S5e does not support the S Pen stylus. At the same time, however, it is very likely that Samsung will soon introduce a "full" version of this tablet, Galaxy Table S5.
Galaxy The Tab S5e will be available in the Czech Republic from mid-April in all three colors (black, gold, silver). The recommended retail price will be CZK 10 for the WiFi version and CZK 999 for the LTE version.
