We recently informed you that the fingerprint reader of the upcoming series Galaxy The S10 will work normally with screen protectors. However, a question mark still hung over the use of tempered glass. Until now.

We showed you video lesson, where you could see the tempered glass for the new flagships in action. However, it had one big drawback – an unsightly cut-out in the place of the fingerprint reader. However, Whitestone has been rumored to have created a protective glass for Galaxy S10, which will be fully functional with a fingerprint reader.

Whitestone claims that the problem with tempered glass and the fingerprint reader lies in the air pocket between the sensor and the glass. However, the company is said to have come up with a way to solve this problem and introduced the Dome Glass protective glass, allegedly the only protective glass that does not obstruct the functionality of the ultrasonic fingerprint reader Galaxy S10 and S10+. The secret to success lies in the use of Liquid Optically Clear Adhesive (LOCA) technology to fill any pockets.

The protective glass Dome Glass will also offer an oleophobic layer, which should prevent fingerprints from remaining on the display.

Installing this protective glass is no fun, you need to remove the smallest air bubble between the glass and the display. For this, you will find a special application frame and a curing UV lamp in the package.

For $60 (approx. CZK 1) you get two of these glasses in a package. So far, only pre-orders are open, but already on 300. should the goods be shipped. Unfortunately, the company won't be expanding Dome Glass to Europe just yet, but that's probably only a matter of time.
