Samsung started distributing the second update for its smartphones in April this year Galaxy Note 9. The update in the form of a security patch was recently received by users in Germany, and in addition to it, a handful of useful functions are also coming, such as the ability to schedule Night mode on the Note 9 or the ability to switch between narrower and wider shots when taking selfies.

The field of view of the selfie camera is 68° by default, after the update it can be extended to 80° by tapping the switch found below the shutter button. This option was introduced by Samsung in its series of smartphones Galaxy S10 and as part of the March update extended it to the models of the series Galaxy S9. Now the option to expand the field of view is also coming to the Note 9, and maybe it will get it too Galaxy S8 to Galaxy Footnote 8.

Night mode for the camera app is not part of the latest update. Since Samsung has a habit of bringing its flagship camera features to older devices, it's possible that it wants to keep some of them exclusive to Samsung's camera Galaxy S10, respectively for the corresponding product line.

New update for Samsung Galaxy You can download the Note 9 in Settings as usual. The update, which is currently available for users in Germany, is marked N960FXXU2CSDE, and users in other countries should gradually receive the update during May.
