Samsung unveiled the long-awaited model earlier this week Galaxy A80. One of its most interesting aspects is the camera – the three-lens camera is located on the back of the device for standard shots, but when you want to take a selfie, it can be moved and turned towards the front.

Pitfalls of the mechanism

The issue of front cameras is a challenge for mobile device manufacturers for two reasons. One of them is simply the indispensability of the selfie camera these days, the second is that displays over the entire surface of the device are considered equally indispensable today. It is the design of such displays that can often disturb selfie cameras, either in the form of cutouts or smaller holes. A device with a system like the one brought by Samsung Galaxy A80, they seem to be a great solution.

However, rotary cameras are not perfect. Like any other mechanism, the rotating and sliding system can be damaged or worn out in any way at any time, and such a malfunction will have a negative effect on the smartphone as a whole. In addition, dirt and small foreign particles can get into the small gaps and openings, which can impair the functionality of the device. Another problem is that it is practically impossible to protect a phone with a camera designed in this way with the help of a cover.

Great gear

Samsung Galaxy At the same time, the A80 stands out with its large display, which only has a small frame on its underside. It is a Super AMOLED New Infinity display with a diagonal of 6,7 inches, Full HD resolution and a built-in fingerprint sensor. The phone is equipped with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, has 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage and a 3700mAh battery with super fast 25W charging.

The rotating camera consists of a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 3D depth-of-field sensor - with face unlock, however Galaxy The A80 does not have it.

Detailed Samsung specifications Galaxy A80 are also on Samsung's Czech website, but the company has not yet published the price.
