This week, demo models of Samsung watches received certification from the Wi-Fi Alliance Galaxy Watch Active 2, which will be displayed in retail stores worldwide. So it means that we really won't have to wait long for the watch. Models codenamed SM-R820X, SM-R825X, SM-R830X and SM-R835X were certified on July 24. The letter "X" in the model designation usually means that it is a demo version, intended for stores.

At this point, it is more or less clear that Samsung's Galaxy Watch Active 2 will be presented at Unpacked on August 7 along with its Galaxy Note 10. While the demos only received certification a few days ago, the models Galaxy Watch Active 2, which are intended for sale, were already certified in June this year. Samsung has obviously been working on the watch for a long time, but the details regarding the appearance and functions are still more the subject of speculation, analysis and guesswork. However, leaks that appeared on the Internet recently could provide some help.

About the watch Galaxy Watch We don't know too much about Active 2 for sure. They will most likely be available in two sizes (40mm and 44mm), both versions should be available with both Wi-Fi and LTE connectivity. It is also speculated that the physical spinning wheel will be replaced by a virtual bezel. This could theoretically be called Touch Bezel. The watch should be enriched with several new functions related to health - for example, it could be an ECG or a fall detection function.
