There are really many charging adapters and you can choose from almost any shape and features. Most of you probably charge the products using original chargers. You don't have to deal with whether another charger is right for a certain device and trust that the manufacturer also packs the right charger with it. However, today we will take a look at Swissten charging adapters, which I have probably not seen in the Czech Republic yet. You certainly know the situation when you are renovating a room or another room and you insert a bed or a wardrobe into the only drawer on the wall. You could probably put a classic charger, for example for a mobile phone, which has a straight outlet behind the bed, but the cable would be bent at a right angle, so we don't have to talk about its lifespan. But let's not get ahead of ourselves unnecessarily and let's first look at the specifications, packaging, and only then jump into personal experience.
Official specification
If you were interested in these Slim charging adapters from the beginning, believe me that they will interest you twice as much in the technical specifications. These are not ordinary, nowadays already slow, adapters. The output of the adapters is 3A at 5V, so together the adapter can produce a maximum power of up to 15W. This means that we can safely compare this adapter with the original 18W fast charging adapter from Apple. Fast charging of the latest iPhones will therefore not be a problem even with the Slim adapter. Both adapters themselves and adapters with cables are available for purchase. You can choose between a Lightning connector (with or without MFi certification) or a classic microUSB connector. The adapters are available in two colors – black and white, which also depends on the color of the supplied cable. Smart IC technology is used for charging, so you are always sure that the device being charged will receive exactly the power it requires.

Packing
If we look at the packaging page, we are not surprised at all - what you would also expect in the packaging of charging adapters. On the front of the box, you can view the variant you have purchased (or the one you want to purchase). The fact that you can immediately see both the color design and the adapter cable in the package is absolutely ideal. You can check the color of the adapter itself by opening the front of the box. After unfolding, you can see through the transparent window whether the color of the adapter really corresponds. On the other side of the flipped-out part, there is an illustrated use of the Slim adapter in practice. After opening the box, just pull out the plastic carrying case, which contains the adapter itself (and possibly the cable). Don't look for anything else in the package - instructions for proper use are on the back of the box.

Processing
I don't have a single complaint about the processing. I was excited about the adapters and their design as soon as I had the chance to get my hands on them. Their design is perfectly minimalistic and "clean", you won't find any unnecessary things anywhere. The material used for production is of course plastic, but it is processed into a nice matte finish. As I mentioned in the introduction, there are two USB outputs in the lower (or upper) part. If you place the adapter in the socket so that the USB outputs are facing downwards, you will get one more great gadget. There is a kind of "groove" on the upper side of the adapter into which you can insert your charging device. If you don't have a place to put it at hand, you don't have to put the device on the ground, but put it on top of the adapter itself, where it won't fall off. However, if you turn the adapter in the socket with the outputs facing upwards, you will simply lose this "convenience". On the front of the adapter you will then find a discreet Swissten logo. The only thing that might bother you is the blue LED that lights up when plugged in. However, it's nothing a piece of duct tape can't fix.

Personal experience
Swissten has designed special Slim adapters to avoid unnecessary bending of cables and also to allow you to push a piece of furniture up to the wall if necessary, even if you want to have the adapter plugged into the socket. Honestly, I have to say that I fell in love with Slim adapters almost immediately after using them for the first time. The cable outlet down or up makes much more sense to me, that is, if you connect the adapter directly to the wall socket, and not somewhere on an extension cable. If you have an unused outlet somewhere, you can start using it right away with the help of the Slim adapter. In addition, white walls are very modern these days - if you use a white adapter, no one will even notice it. Personally, I used one of the adapters immediately, and that was for the socket that was inserted by the bed. I could not place the classic adapter here, as it would not be possible to push the bed completely against the wall. However, with the use of the Slim adapter, I was able to get rid of the extension cable and run only the two cables I need at the bed.
