Samsung's regular C-Lab Outside Demoday event took place this week. The venue was the R&D Campus in Seocho-gu, Seoul, South Korea. This year, a total of eighteen startups, which were selected as part of the August C-Labs Outside competition, presented themselves at the event. The focus of these startups is really diverse, starting with artificial intelligence or virtual or augmented reality, through lifestyle to healthcare.

The C-Lab Outside Demoday event was attended by more than three hundred people – not only founders and leaders of winning startups, but also influential investors and, of course, representatives of Samsung. C-Lab – or Creative Lab – is a startup incubator managed by Samsung. Thanks to it, the founders of these startups can turn their ideas into reality with the help of Samsung's resources and support services. Last year, Samsung expanded its scope to also support startups "from the outside". As part of this program, it aims to support a total of five hundred startups over the next four years, of which 300 are external.

Companies that will be selected for the program can get a one-year stay at the mentioned R&D campus, where they can use most of the equipment completely free of charge, and they will also receive significant financial support. Samsung will also support these small businesses by participating in international technology fairs such as CES, MWC, IFA and others. Last year, a total of twenty different startups were selected as part of the C-Lab Outside program, whose founders presented their products and services to investors.
