Samsung quietly released a brand new smartphone series this week Galaxy. The latest addition to the family of rugged durable smartphones from Samsung is called the XCover Pro and is the successor to the XCover 4 model that was released in 2017. Unlike most of the other models in the XCover product line, this new product has a significantly more modern design.

The XCover Pro smartphone is equipped with a 6,3-inch LCD display with an aspect ratio of 20:9. In the upper left corner of the display there is a "bullet hole" with the front camera, the smartphone display can be operated without any problems with wet hands or gloves. The XCover Pro is powered by an octa-core Exynos 9611 processor and has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The battery with a capacity of 4050 mAh takes care of the energy supply, the smartphone has, among other things, the option of fast 15W charging.

The Samsung XCover Pro's primary dual camera consists of a 25MP wide-angle module and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle module, and there is a 13MP selfie camera on the front. An important element of this smartphone is the aforementioned battery – unlike other Samsung smartphone models, it can be removed from the device. The Samsung XCover Pro boasts IP68 dust and water resistance and is US Army MIL-STD-810 certified for durability and durability. The phone is also equipped with a pair of programmable buttons that allow users to quickly control the flashlight or create a text message with the help of voice. On the side we can find the on/off button, volume control and, somewhat unconventionally, also the fingerprint reader. The Samsung XCover Pro runs an operating system Android 9 Pie, but could be upgraded to Android 10.

In Europe it would Galaxy XCover Pro could start selling already at the beginning of February, the price will be approximately 12600 crowns.
