As the date of the Samsung Unpacked event approaches, speculations and conjectures regarding the devices to be presented there are also increasing. Among them is the new Samsung foldable smartphone. A few weeks ago, some sites published theories that Samsung should use ultra-thin glass instead of a transparent polyimide layer for the flexible display of its flexible smartphone. This should result in a smoother display with a flatter surface. What other predictions are there for Samsung's upcoming flexible smartphone?

Rumor has it that this year's generation of Samsung's foldable smartphone should be equipped with a 3300 mAh battery and equipped with a Snapdragon 855 SoC. However, some versions in connection with the battery state that the phone should be equipped with a secondary battery with a capacity of 900 mAh. As for the display, in addition to the mentioned ultra-thin glass, it should be equipped with an additional layer of special plastic for even better protection. Thanks to this, the repairability score of the phone should also rise - in the case of some types of damage, theoretically only the top layer should be replaced instead of the entire display.

Just the display of the first one Galaxy The Fold was a frequent target of criticism for its fragility. It is therefore logical that Samsung will want to take such measures for the second generation as possible to prevent damage and too fast wear of the smartphone display. We will, however, learn specific details about the battery, processor, display and other equipment and features of the upcoming foldable smartphone with final validity only as part of the Unpacked event, which is scheduled for February 11 this year.
