It often happens that we receive unsolicited messages of all kinds on our smartphones. It can be all kinds of commercial messages, spam, messages sent by mistake or even phishing. However, it is not common for us to receive an unsolicited - and even more strange - message directly from the manufacturer of our smartphone. Owners of some smartphones of the product line Galaxy but they still have this experience, and a relatively fresh one at that.

Engineers from Samsung managed to send out to Samsung owners in a mysterious way this morning Galaxy all over the world, a special message that only the number one was good at - nothing more. If you too have become one of the recipients of this mysterious text message, then know that it was allegedly part of the internal testing process of Samsung's "Find My Mobile" function. The South Korean giant publicly apologized to all of its customers affected by this error during the course of the day for the inconvenience caused. According to the company, the message, sent by mistake, had no effect on the functioning of the smartphones in question.

For example, Samsung issued a statement on its UK Twitter account. The post stated that a notification related to Find My Mobile 1 was accidentally sent "to a limited number of devices Galaxy". The Find My Mobile function serves - similarly to its counterpart u Apple device - to locate a lost device. Users can also use this feature to remotely lock or wipe it in case it is stolen.

It is not yet clear how large the number of customers who received the mysterious text message is, however, its occurrence is also reported by users here and in Slovakia.
