Samsung has released a message announcing an update to its Magician program. The new version is labeled 6.1. Magician is used to optimize SSD drives manufactured by a South Korean company. Through it, users can monitor the "health" of the disk, manage and secure their data, increase SSD performance using the so-called Rapid mode, run a benchmark, or check the read and write speed of the disk. Control of the program is very intuitive and a lot of information is displayed in clear graphs and tables.

This update is very important as Samsung will stop supporting older versions on May 30, 2020. In addition, according to the South Korean giant, Magician is an essential tool for smooth and safe use of disks. Some functions are also available for portable SSD drives or classic hard drives. Samsung Magician 6.1 is backward compatible with all Samsung SSDs from the 470 series to the latest 970 EVO Plus.

Users running Samsung software version 5.1 and above will receive a push notification prompting them to download the latest version. Those who have an older version of the program installed will have to download the latest version of Magician manually. Samsung Magician 6.1 is backward compatible with all Samsung SSDs from the 470 series to the latest 970 EVO Plus.
