After weeks of speculation, it has finally been confirmed for Samsung smartphones Galaxy Note 9 a Galaxy The S9 is indeed getting updates to the One UI 2.1 superstructure. We are probably still a few weeks away from its official launch, but we can already know, thanks to numerous reports, what its arrival actually means for the owners of the mentioned models. Among other things, these reports also talk about the fact that the models would Galaxy Note 9 a Galaxy The S9 didn't have to wait for some functions - one of them is, for example, Bixby Routines.

Samsung introduced the Bixby Routines feature last year when it launched its product line Galaxy S10. The function works on the principle of IFTTT (If This Then That) technology, and these are certain automations, carried out in cooperation with Bixby. The advantage is practically unlimited customization options - through Bixby Routines, it is possible, for example, to activate the Always On display every time you connect your smartphone to power, or to change the orientation to horizontal when you start the Gallery application. Bixby Routines is a really smart function, which can also return the given action to its original state when the condition that triggered the action no longer applies. This description may sound quite confusing, but in practice it means, for example, that if you choose to activate the Always On display via Bixby Routines after connecting the phone to the charger, the function will be automatically deactivated when it is disconnected again.

It is quite understandable that users were interested in whether the Bixby Routines function would also come to their smartphones together with the One UI 2.1 superstructure. But Samsung's development team denied it. Apparently, Samsung first tried to incorporate Bixby Routines into One UI 2.1 pro Galaxy Note 9 a Galaxy S9, but finally decided to get rid of the function. The launch date of One UI 2.1 on the mentioned smartphones is not yet known.
